When product calls it a crash and engineering calls it an ANR

A frozen checkout is not a process death. Play Console will still count it, and the shopper will still abandon the bag. In a walkthrough we put the ANR traces in a separate pile from SIGSEGV and uncaught exceptions, then we replay the screen with the main thread occupied the way the trace describes.

Product often wants a single “stability” number. We refuse to average ANRs with crashes. The recap lists both, with the screen name in the heading. If engineering cannot reproduce the ANR on the two phones in the room, the recap says unreproduced — it does not borrow a similar stack from a different version.
