City traffic seen through a rain-speckled windscreen

What a 3.2-second cold start feels like in KL traffic

Three seconds is a short sentence. On a paused motorcycle at a traffic light in Cheras, it is long enough to lock the phone, look up, and decide the app is “not opening.” We time from icon tap, not from process start, because that is the gesture the person made.

Office guest networks hide DNS and certificate work that a Celcom SIM in a tunnel still has to finish. If your lab number is 1.4 seconds and the commute number is 3.2, the useful argument is which work still runs before the first scroll, not whether 3.2 “feels fast.” We write both numbers in the same table so the stand-up cannot pick only one.
